I make documentary films about how things are passed on. A grape harvest in the Douro, my grandmother describing her wedding, a folk group rehearsing near Paris, a bilingual theatre company forty years on stage. What draws me is what people keep doing when nobody is asking them to, and what quietly changes in the keeping.

Teresa is 85 years old and remembers everything. Ismenia is 90 years old and has trouble remembering. There is a photo of Ismenia's wedding. There are no records of Teresa's. Isménia and Teresa are my grandmothers and I'm getting married.
